Not NaNoing either - still finishing up last year's project.

I wouldn't let dodginess stop you from participating in NaNoWriMo - there's a very large crowd already participating, and trust me, there's some serious dodginess already mixed in.

Heh - it's not the dodginess stopping me Nano-ing (that's just stopping me publishing to this LJ under anything but a tight custom-filter...)

No, it's more the fact that one of said fics is probably barely going to break 1,000 words, and the other.... well, maybe somewhere between 2-5,000.
There's no way, however, that I'd manage to string out the dodginess for 50,000 words, and even less way that they'd be readable if I did.

So yeah. I'm vaguely thinking about setting my own Nano challenge for myself, but making it a given quantity of shortfics (maybe 5? seriously - for someone who writes maybe 1-2 fics per fandom obsession; writing 5 TW fics in a month is *going* to be a challenge, even if three of them end up being drabbles), rather than a single 50k-word one. Of course, that would run totally counter to the actual name *Nano*... and *Nafic* really doesn't sound as good...

Actually, I lie. I like keeping myself busy and am looking forward to getting today's quota of study completed so that I can commence the nano scuffle (whereby I get near a keyboard and everything that has been roaming around my head for the last month decides that right now is a good time to go for a vacation to sunny Vanuatu. Why Vanuatu? Why not Vanuatu! It's somewhere where it is difficult to track down sneaky ideas because of a myriad of secluded beaches and its the last place you'd expect Gothic things to end up, that's why!).

I am glad stuff is going well and enjoy your down-time when you have it.

But again, I cheer you from the sidelines, and will attempt to help gently coax your ideas back from Vanuatu, where, let's face it, they're probably bored out of their trees by now...

Errrrrm... working on two at the moment. One *could* be slashy if that was the way you wanted to look at it (if I write it right, you'll never know). The other... isn't... it's just *dark 'n' nasty*.

Because even in a PWP, I can't possibly do fluff...
